That's right... I think we cover all sports. Mark did kill a banded duck this year. Didn't know what that meant, but big deal in the duck hunting world. It is very rare to shut one. Mark was on top of the world for days.

Deer Camp With the Boys

Avery and I spent three days at deer camp with the boys during Christmas. I do have to say that Avery had the best time of anyboody. She loved playing in the dirt, riding 4-wheeler, Paps bad boy and chasing Tripp. Mark did kill an eight point the last morning we were there. This is Tripp's third deer. That's one for every year.

Always Late But Worth The Wait!!
This was the top Christmas Gift of the year.
Having no idea what to get anyone for Christmas, I ran up on this bumper sticker while shopping with Mark. We laughed and laughed, but I couldn't get it out of my head. If you know the Power Guys.... This was perfect!! This was a total surprise to everyone. As you can tell, we laughed and laughed all night.

Deer Camp on Estates Cove
Tripp had been with his Dad and Pap for a weekend of hunting and hanging out witht the guys.
I was cleaning out the garage, and Tripp kept asking me for tape. Trying to get finished with what I was doing, I was giving it to him. Not knowing what he was up to, I was very surprised to see what he had done. Tripp had taken an old game boy from his cousins and taped it to the tree in my flower bed. Have you figured it out? He was putting up a camera to take pictures of the deer. He calls this is "Green Stand" and he even gave Avery P a stand on the other side of the driveway called the "Power line". If I could be good I could go to Mr. Skipp's stand. Now where did he get this talk from?

Kids Gone Wild!!

You Count them!! 6 kids gone wild. At last minute we decided that since the Bulldogs pulled through and the Rebels were on the way to a victory. (Can you believe it!!) I made some phone calls and found out that I am not the only one to take the extra, long ride home after a birthday party. Everyone was still out, made a u-turn, and ended up at the Power's. We usually talk big and never do anything, but all the men were gone, so we had Power Pizza night with some friends.

This weekend we were invited to a Birthday Party and they had a pony for the kids to ride. It took Avery awhile for her to decide if she was going to ride. As for as Tripp, Can you see his outfit. He was in full gear and ready to ride. What a great day!!

Last Soccer Game

We made it!! Tripp had his last soccer game. Thank goodness for all the tired moms running around trying to get everyone to the game on time and the cold weather was moving in quick. Tripp really enjoyed soccer this year and can't wait till next year. He got his first Trophy!!

I blinked and November was gone. We have been so busy with field trips to the Pumpkin patch, Halloween and the Indian Pow-wow. I had to put some of the pictures of my little tribe. The kids all loved the day filled with all kinds of Native American activities.

Watch Out Brett Basham!! It's true Tripp wanted to be Brett Basham for Halloween. After talking him out of being a Cowboy for the third year, he wanted to be Power 22(Logan) which we are most days in our house!! We finally agreed that he could wear his catchers gear and be BASHAM. That's right, Brett Basham is the starting catcher for the Ole Miss Rebels. It is something about catchers that Tripp loves. Reminder that this was the only thing Tripp asked for his birthday was a catchers helmet. I guess it is all the equipment it takes. Every year that Logan has played, Tripp has taken up with the catcher. Thank goodness Basham will be back this year.

Avery Parks was going to be Tinker Bell and refused to put the costume on. At the last minute, She was a ladybug that she didn't wear the year before. I can she a pattern going on with her. Enjoy!! This was our first official Trick-or-Treat with the both of them.

It is the end of the season and we are finally getting the hang of soccer. Tripp had his best game ever!! He scored 6 goals and played really hard. One more game to go.

Pumpkin Patch

Tripp's First Field Trip!!! We had the best time at the Pumpkin patch. Tripp had been counting down the days till he got to ride on the BIG YELLOW SCHOOL BUS. The best part about it was the ride on the school bus. I don't think Tripp stopped smiling the whole time.

This month we have had a lot going on. National Fire Safety week, Donuts with Dad and lots of fall decorating. Next week is our 1st field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. I went with Tripp two weeks ago. Hopefully, the weather will be good and we have lots of parents to go.

This makes 3 years in a row for the Power, Power and Leach Family Vacation. Everyone made it this year. We had lots of fun. Eating, playing golf, shopping, going to the beach, riding race cars and 1 bungee jumper.... We did it all. Even making our trip to the Island we named Power Island. I think this is always the highlight of our trip. We always pick on day to go out on the boat and ride in the bay. There is a little sand bar that we always stop for lunch and do some seashell collecting. This year we almost caught a really big crab!!

There's A New Class In Town

I made the move to KG this year. It has been great so far. I have a great bunch of kids who are very eager to learn. During the month of August and September, we had a lot going on. Muffins with Mom, Bully came to sell Bully Bites,Office Walters and National Anthem Day. Everyone always ask what I really do all day, so I am going to try to post some of the fun things we do throughout the year. Especially, for my husband who thinks I play all day!!

Well....Oh.... I guess we played soccer tonight. We did good with all the rain we have had. We definitely need to practice, practice, practice!! I think the parents had more fun than the kids. If it is true about losing weight when you laugh, I probably lost about 5 pounds tonight.
Tripp did score 1 goal and did lots of tackling. I guess I am going to have to fly Uncle Jason in for some private lessons. Have fun looking at the pictures.

Today was our last practice before the big game on Thursday. You heard it correctly, Tripp is playing soccer this year. Our team is made of 3 boys and 3 girls. We did better today, but we have a long way to go. Cross your fingers that on Thursday nobody cries, screams, tackles and everyone plays.

Football season has finally started! This is our first official year to tailgate. We have been having so much fun with all of our family and friends. Tailgating at Mississippi State has really changed. You can not find one empty section of grass. I have never seen so many people on campus. When I was there, many years ago, we had to beg people to come to the games.

Tripp and Avery Parks have really enjoyed everything. Playing football, coloring with all the girls and cheering, the Power Crew loves it. These pictures are of Avery Parks cheering with the band. In front of our tent, the band lines up and marches to the stadium. They will stop and play for all the crowds. The dancer that Avery is, SHE LOVED IT!!

We have finally arrived!! The Power's are now into the blogging world. I have heard and heard how much I need to do this. I am going to try and keep everything updated. Teaching Kindergarten and having two small children does not leave a lot of time on my hands. I think this is going to be a great way to share with friends and family. As you all know, the Power's do keep very busy and we are always on the road doing something. I hope that you enjoy keeping up with us!!!
